Laura Barbieri
Laura Barbieri is a distinguished human resources and hospitality executive with more than 25 years of experience advancing organizational excellence, talent development, and cultural transformation across the Americas. Her career is marked by a long and highly respected tenure at Marriott International, where she served as Corporate Director of Human Resources and held several key leadership roles throughout the organization.
During her time at Marriott, Laura led strategic people operations, talent acquisition, and leadership coaching initiatives across the United States, Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. Her contributions were recognized at the highest levels of the company, earning her a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and meaningful impact in shaping organizational culture and developing leadership talent.
Laura currently serves as Corporate Director of People Operations at SAUCE Miami®, where she leads and coaches the People Team across multiple restaurant brands and hotels. In this role, she partners closely with business leaders to design and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the company’s vision and values. Her work centers on building strong, compliant, and scalable people processes that support operational excellence while fostering a productive and accountable workplace culture.
In parallel, Laura is the Principal and Founder of ONE People Plus®, a strategic HR consulting firm that provides executive coaching and customized leadership development programs tailored to the unique needs of each organization.
She also plays an active and influential role in SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), the world’s largest HR professional society, by serving on the Board of Directors for the SHRM Miami Chapter and collaborating closely with SHRM Florida and the Florida Business Council. Through this leadership work, Laura drives high-impact strategic initiatives focused on education, advocacy, and community engagement. Her efforts strengthen the regional HR network, elevate professional standards, and foster meaningful connections among HR leaders and practitioners across Florida and beyond.
