While many human resource professionals receive their formal education from various colleges and universities, there is no greater teacher than experience. We take classes in compensation, benefits, training and development, strategic management, safety and health, change management, and others. Unfortunately, our jobs require so much more skill and ability that we do not learn in the classroom.
This presentation will address some specific skillsets that seasoned HR professionals have developed through the years which have enabled them to succeed in the organizations. The skills addressed in this program include selling your ideas to management, taking risks, dealing with difficult people, recognizing and rewarding people on a tight budget, and demonstrating the value of HR through financial reporting.
